Hello, I’m Tyra
I am a trainee psychotherapist currently completing an MA in Psychotherapy at DublinBusiness School, having previously completed a Higher Diploma in Counselling and Psychotherapy.
I believe therapy is a space where you don’t need to have everything figured out before you arrive. Whether you are facing a clear life challenge or simply have a sense that something in your day-to-day needs to be understood differently, my aim is to offer a warm, curious and non-judgemental setting where we can explore your experience at your own pace.
Grounded in a humanistic and integrative approach, I’m particularly drawn to questions of identity and belonging. I’m also interested in what it means to live in a way that feels genuinely your own, with a focus on:
● LGBTQIA+ & Gender Diversity: I have a particular interest in working with LGBTQIA+ clients, especially transgender and gender-diverse people, around experiences of gender, sexuality, identity, recognition and relationships.
● Neurodiversity: I’m interested in working with neurodivergent clients and in adapting the therapeutic process to individual communication styles, ways of processing and preferences. We can shape the work together in a way that feels comfortable and useful.
● Migration & Cultural Identity: Having grown up in Taiwan and lived across different countries before making Ireland my home, I bring a personal understanding of what it can mean to live between cultures. I am especially drawn to experiences around language, cultural expectations and building a sense of home in a new environment.
Every person brings a unique story to therapy. I hope to meet yours with openness, so that together we can explore what matters most and develop a deeper understanding of who you are
