Qualified Counsellor and Psychotherapist in Ireland

Hello, my name is Diane. I am a qualified counsellor and psychotherapist in Ireland, fully accredited by the Irish Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (IACP). I support individuals who are navigating challenges such as anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, grief, identity concerns, and relationship difficulties.

A Journey Through Career Change

Before becoming a therapist, I worked for many years in the financial services sector. My decision to retrain involved sacrifice and uncertainty, but it also brought personal growth. I understand the stress and courage that major career changes require. This experience helps me support clients going through similar life transitions.

My Approach to Therapy

I work from an integrative perspective. This means I use different therapeutic approaches to suit your individual needs. These include Person-Centred Therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Reality Therapy, and Pluralistic Psychotherapy. At the heart of my work is building a strong, trusting relationship where you feel safe, heard, and valued.

Special Interests and Ongoing Development

During my studies, I researched how social media affects mental health. This remains an area I care deeply about, especially when working with younger clients. I continue to expand my knowledge and training so I can offer you the most effective support possible.

Let’s Take the First Step Together

If you’re seeking a qualified counsellor and psychotherapist in Ireland, I’d be honoured to support you. Whether you’re feeling lost, overwhelmed, or simply need someone to talk to, therapy can help. Together, we can explore your experience and move toward healing and growth.
