My name is Vsevolod Oglo, and I am an integrative psychotherapy student currently training at the Irish College of Humanities and Applied Sciences (ICHAS). Embracing inclusiveness, I support individuals regardless of age, gender, sexual orientation, political beliefs, or neurodivergence. Furthermore, my approach is grounded in empathy and openness, which I consider essential for effective therapy.

My Journey to Becoming an Integrative Psychotherapy Student

When I arrived in Ireland in 2017, I faced many challenges, including a lack of English language skills and unfamiliar social norms. At first, unemployment and financial difficulties were major hurdles. However, securing work as an elderly caregiver allowed me to reconnect with my community and sparked my interest in emotional support. Over the next four years, I worked in intellectual disability services supporting children, adolescents, and adults. These experiences deepened my commitment to compassionate care and motivated me to pursue formal studies in psychology and psychotherapy.

Therapeutic Interests as a Trainee Integrative Psychotherapy Student

During my undergraduate studies in Applied Psychology, I developed a passion for spirituality, cultural diversity, and meaning-making. Having personally experienced mental health challenges, I am dedicated to helping others navigate their own healing journeys. As an integrative psychotherapy student, I draw on a variety of approaches, including Logotherapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Gestalt therapy, and Existential therapy. This flexible blend enables me to tailor therapy to each person’s unique needs, supporting personal growth and resilience.

Currently, I am completing my training at Inner Voice Inner Journey, a centre committed to holistic mental health care.
