My name is Eniola Laotan and I am a student therapist. I believe that therapy should be compassionate, collaborative, and empowering. My approach is grounded in empathy, respect, and a deep commitment to helping clients feel heard and understood. I believe in creating a safe space where judgement doesn’t exist. As an APCP student accredited therapist currently pursuing my Master’s in Counselling and Psychotherapy, I am passionate about supporting individuals through life’s challenges.
I have a strong interest in trauma-informed care and the ways early experiences shape our sense of self. In my practice, I integrate Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help clients identify and challenge unhelpful thought patterns, develop healthier coping strategies, and foster self-awareness. My work is client-centered, integrating evidence-based techniques to help people navigate issues like self-esteem, trauma, and personal growth.
I’ve always been drawn to understanding why people think, feel, and behave the way they do. But it wasn’t until I worked in psychiatric care that I truly saw the impact of compassionate listening and evidence-based techniques in helping people heal. I remember sitting with someone who felt completely unheard in their life, just giving them space to speak without judgment was transformative. That experience solidified my path in psychotherapy, and I carry that same deep respect for each client’s story into my work today.
My goal is to create a supportive and non-judgmental space where clients can explore their experiences and work toward meaningful change.
