Caitlin is a trainee therapist offering psychotherapy sessions in Limerick. She finds it a privilege to accompany clients on their healing journeys. It is important to her that clients feel as comfortable as possible starting therapy – so feel free to get in touch with her for an email conversation or a preliminary phone call, to ask some questions and decide whether she is a good fit for you. Caitlin has just completed her final year of a MSc in Counselling and Psychotherapy with Dublin Counselling and Therapy Centre, in collaboration with University of Northampton. Her foundation is humanistic (led by what the client wants and needs) and integrative (offering different therapeutic techniques as and when they suit the client).
Caitlin is trained in Levels I and II EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) via EMDRIA and The Institute for Creative Mindfulness. Caitlin holds a special place in her heart for working with adults who were traumatised in childhood. She regularly draws on the work of Pete Walker, Christiane Sanderson and Jamie Marich. Caitlin’s other areas of interest are neurodiversity, dissociation and the transpersonal. She feels lucky to live at a time when psychotherapeutic understandings of these human experiences are expanding. Inclusion and anti-oppression are values that she strives to uphold. She enjoys working with people who are trying to live authentically, as they truly are.
