My name is Paula, and I am a psychotherapist with a Master’s degree in
Psychotherapy from ICHAS (Irish College of Humanities and Applied
Sciences) in Limerick, with additional training in Criminal
Psychology. My work is grounded in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT),
an evidence-based approach that helps individuals manage anxiety,
challenge unhelpful thought patterns, and develop a healthier and more
compassionate relationship with themselves.
I take a holistic and trauma-informed approach, with a strong belief
in the mind–body connection. Physical movement, lifestyle, and
self-care can play an important role in emotional regulation and
overall well-being, and when appropriate, I integrate this awareness
into therapy.
I am committed to providing a safe, inclusive, and LGBTQ+ affirming
therapeutic space. I welcome individuals of all sexual orientations
and gender identities and remain mindful of the unique challenges
LGBTQ+ clients may face, including identity exploration, minority
stress, discrimination, and trauma.
I have a particular focus on supporting individuals who have
experienced domestic violence and other forms of trauma. My background
in criminal psychology allows me to bring insight into behavioral
patterns, relational dynamics, and the psychological impact of
difficult or unsafe environments.
I offer therapy in both English and Spanish, creating a space where
clients can express themselves in the language that feels most natural
and meaningful to them.
In our work together, my priority is to create a trusting and
supportive environment where you feel safe to share your story.
Together, we will explore your challenges, identify your strengths,
and develop practical strategies for healing, growth, and
self-discovery.
