Mariana Amorim is a psychologist with 11 years of experience as a clinical psychologist in Brazil, specializing in Child Psychology and Neuropsychology. Using a Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Behavioral Psychology approach, she works with children and adults, supporting them through emotional challenges such as anxiety, depression, self-esteem issues, Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD), Panic Disorder, grief, behavioral disorders, adaptation difficulties, phobias, relationship issues, and emotional regulation difficulties.
She has extensive experience in Affirmative Psychology, providing support for trans individuals, LGBTQIA+ people, and neurodivergent individuals, offering a sensitive and understanding space tailored to their specific needs. She also considers the multiple social and personal factors that shape people’s experiences and identities.
Mariana holds a Master’s degree in Human Rights with a focus on gender and sexuality, which enhances her practice by providing a deep understanding of identity, diversity, and the various aspects that influence individuals’ lives.
Her approach is client-centered, aiming to foster self-awareness, well-being, and the development of skills for a balanced and healthy emotional life. She offers sessions in both Portuguese and English.
She is currently working towards her accreditation in Ireland.
